One point in the form of a conversion was the difference between defeat and victory. - Ceres opened the game by recovering a Buffalo fumble deep in the lvlanteca territory and belting it across from there. The mighty Buffalo stormed back to take the lead with two touch- down passes from quarterback Ray Dellevacchia to end, Keith Grieve. Both conversion attempts were missed. A fourth down pass in the last quarter set up the final touchdown made by Ceres. The conversion attempt was good to send the toppled Buffalos home in despair. A strong Ivlanteca line stopped the opposition short.
