This is but one of the many capacities of this area of education. In fulfillment of its other duties, health and physical education generates loyalty, develops character, and promotes sportsmanship. It provides wholesome recreation and gives a student the opportunity to develop understanding and skill so that he may enjoy a balanced life, being able to work well with others. 30
