Elementary Laboratory School This school offers fine educational facilities from kindergarten through the sixth grade to the children of the district. The building, one of the newest on the campus, with its complete and modern equipment, is now one of the best elementary schools in the state. The educational offering includes all the traditional subjects of the curriculum plus music, art, and industrial arts departments. The laboratory school provides the children with a fine education for living, at the same time giving the col- lege students in the elementary and music fields professional experience. Membership in the Association for Childhood Education is open to any stu- dent enrolled in the Elementary Depart- ment. This organization aims to further development of early childhood education in the state, to help create and maintain high standards of early childhood educa- tion in the state, and to cooperate with the PennsylvEnia Department of Education. Although this Association was begun in Mansfield only last year, it has already become a member of the national associa- tion . This year under the capable direc- tion of our co-sponsors, Dr. G. A. Retan and Miss Mildred Grigsby. the Association has shown remarkable growth and inter- est. The officer personnel consisted of Jean Dailey, President; LaRene Thomas, Vice- President; Marie Miller, Secretary; Joyce Schanbacher, Treasurer.
