They were located slightly below the garth. They each had their own little kingdom. The one planet was namedSimpson and the other one was named APpleseed. On the SimPson planet the Bulldogs ,m os they were called, chose Bob Mclntire to lead them. He was assisted by Bruno Hernia, Ingrid Glaesser. and Tom Michols. The Pioneers on the APPleseed planet were lead by Hickey Hall. Giving hima hand were Jack teal, Lolita Heichel, and Charleen Appleman. On both of these Planets were creatures working to Produce the best inter plantary newsheet. The SimPson Paper was edited by Bob Mclntire, end the APt le-seed Paper was edited by Jeanne Pay and Mary Elizabeth Glessner. As the year rolled along, the great contest came closer and closer. To help celebrate the occasion, the Bulldogs Picked MR. HAILEY Class Advisor as their queen, Miss Dixie Cline. On the APP leseed Plane 1 I P la ns were being made for the event . They chose Miss Lang a c h e r to re ign over the ir territory. The er eat day came , But on ly the Bu I Idogs w e r e v ic tor ious. They defeated the Pione e r s by a 21 to 7 score. Regardless °f the winner. That football game was one to ve remembered. Slowly at first, the Planets started moving closer together. Then as the year came to close, they moved faster and faster until t h • y merged into one bi g Monet called Mansfield Senior high plant. They were in for a tnree year stay before they moved on to a bigger goal. At the beginning of their first year they sPent their time getting acquainted with the new land and different fa ces. Then they decided they needed some on t0 get them organized . A big meeting was called and Mike Guy was picked to get them in shape. Bruno Hernia, Myrna Sorgen, and Tom Kichols were elected to help with this organization. As they needed some wise counsel, they asked Mr. Paul Hailey to be their advisor. They made their social debut by giving a dance for all surrounding planets. To add to their first successful year they got together and made small red pennants with letters spelling MA US P IS LD . Soon all the Tygers , as they called themselves, were congregated again. They made Bob Mclntire their leader this year. Bruno Hernia, Lolita Heichel, and Tom Mich-ols were his ass istants, they soon were busy planning their big homecoming football program. To give the football Players added encouragement, they chose Miss Carol Linton to reign over the game, Her attendants were Ingrid G laesser, Charleen
