Rosa Principal To the Class of 1980: You have earned a chance to begin — a full life, service, and achievement. The understanding of self, which comes with intros- pection, provides the individual with one of the most fundamental attributes of his effectiveness — integ- rity. This implies a consistent ordering of your system of values, attitudes, and goals. You must come to know for what you stand and for what you will fight. It is an attribute functionally prerequisite to continuing effectiveness in directing your life day-to-day. | wish you every success in living a meaningful life. ry Z ( William DeStefano Assistant Superintendent of Schools 9! ee dt 7) Mr. J. Supervised by Mr. Palanza of the Social Studies Department, the delegates, all from the Junior Class, traveled to Foxboro High School on May 1 and 2 for the occasion. The Model Senate provided an educational experience for all participants as it was a microcosm of the real Senate of the United States. Bills ranging from such controversial issues as the draft and the energy shortage to the unique concern of banning ‘‘beautiful music’’ in public areas were proposed and submitted by the 9 teams of delegates attending. After much ardent lobbying and intense debating, Mansfield managed to present 3 of their 4 bills in general debate and finally passed 2 of these. Overall, the 1980 Mansfield team performed better than those of past years and certainly preponderated over their opponents. rae abate a break with ™ and Sal. You've earned it. You've worked hard, and played hard, and started to discover who you are. And now you're graduating. It’s been a good beginning. The Foxboro Company took a giant step when it opened its first factory seventy-two years ago, in Foxboro, Massachusetts. It also worked hard, and in time discovered who it was: the world’s leading supplier of instruments and systems to the process control and energy-producing industries. The people of The Foxboro Company learned the importance of a good start long ago. They want to congratulate you on your success. And to encourage you to take those big steps with confidence. There’s no telling how far you'll go. FOXBORO Bie? rem enae ek | We doit all for you.
