Finishing the finale of Cabaret is Kaleidoscope. Kaleidoscope waits to start the musical The Witness. The group's favorite friend, Mr. White. Kaleidoscope performed the musical, The Witness, for several churches. D Kelly Spradlin sings his solo for the Christmas cantata. Kelly, Mike, and David sing the parts of Peter, James, and John. The soprano section waits for their entrance.

This was a very successful year for Kaleidoscope. They performed many times throughout the year. Some audiences included senior citizens, Silver Dollar City, several churches, school assemblies, Woodland Hills Mall, and banquets. They received a Superior rating at District Vocal Contest and qualified for State Vocal Contest for the first time in many years. The 1982-83 newspaper staff experienced several changes during the year. The name of the paper was changed to The Purple and Gold Rush, three different types of layout were used, and instead of having only two editors, the Rush staff had five editors. The editors received excellent cooperation from the rather large staff and this helped the entire staff to meet each deadline. Top: Danny Livingston, Chris Norwood, Lena Cox, Brenda Solomon, Phyllis Blankenship, Virginia Blair, Leslie Lewis, Brian Buchanan. Middle: Frank Hamilton, Joel Harness, David Muirheid, Kelly Pleasant, April Mendenhall, Susan Jones, Rhonda Gifford.
