The tracksters attended quite a few meets this year, doing well in each. Although they didn't win any meets, they did not get discouraged. At each one they gave 10095 if not more. Being an eighth grader was unique. For the lirst time they had electives every day. They also were involved in P.E. every day. The ISCS Science program was improved this year. An addition to the curriculum was added. The history of U.S. Space Travel was the addition. We can't forget the enthusiasm and pride that the eighth graders had, either. Mannford's Elementary school teachers have it a little hard because they start from the bot- tom. They probably have the toughest job, but they enjoy it. They have the patience that goes along with teaching the small children new things. Itls a hard job, but somebody's got to do it! Fifth grade is an exciting year for the students. For the first time they commute to different classes and have one homeroom. The main event during the year was an Oklahoma Statehood day which all the students dressed up for. They also did something very unique this year. For Statehood day they let off balloons. Soon after letting off the balloons, they received a card from Pennsylvania saying that they had found a balloon from Mannford. This and many things made this particular group of fifth graders special. Many of them are looking forward to the Middle School next year. Good luck to the Hfth graders. X. Multiplication, writing stories, and learning about the human body were just some new things learned by these kids. Third grade teachers had a new bunch of kids to teach. The third graders were traditionally looked up to by underclassmen. For them fourth grade was the future and looked good. From there, only eight years to go. We wish them luck. Is he back yet???
