School Daze Dance lllarlls llllleslnne
Herb's Den took the form of the little red schoolhouse and
transformed the auditorium into the "School Daze" playground
on February 27, l954. The swirling crepe paper streamers were
set off by pencils, pens, ink bottles, books, and other obiects
characterizing school.
This dance set a new precedent as the entire student body
selected the royal candidates. In the past, this has been done
by the Student Council and an athletic team, for the dances
were in honor of the teams. Honored at this dance, however,
were the students of MHS, who selected as their king and
queen, Terry Murphy and Kaye Koon .

Committee functions which all had
a share in making the dance successful,

licity, Ellen Dickens, and refreshments,
Tony Alderson . The coordinating chair-
man, Don McCord, presented the roy-
alty during the intermission of the
dance.
