JUNIOR OFFICERS: Mary Leejmith, secretary-treasurer, Marion Socolofsky, vice-presi- dent, Hal Cleavinger, president. .-ff' Back to the halls of MHS came the sophomores of '46, to the honored position of Juniors . They first made their mark by show- ing up for the Hi-Y--G.R. play, A Date With Judy . The support- ing cast of juniors included Charles Bascom, Mary Lee Smith, Bill Burgwin, Dana Foltz, Elizabeth Conover, Doris Ann Wolgast, and Shirley Ebberts. On September I9 the students elected five cheerleaders for the football season with the highest rhree to continue into the basketball season. Three of these five were juniors--Bill Burgwin, Patty Lou Keck and Joan Niemeier, with Bill Burgwin and Patty Lou Keck continuing into basketball season. The junior play cast for the The Visitor , presented on Novem- ber 2l, included Bruce Wilson, Phyllis Foster, David Hills, Baird Miller, Dorothy Wonder, Byron Paxton, Paul Raymond, and Mary Brackett with an important backstage crew. football were many juniors with perhaps the most out standing being Hal Cleavinger. Hal really made his mark against Junction City, intercepting a pass and running eighty yards for a touchdown which cinched the game. The junior class sponsored the Golddiggers' Ball, where the girl foots the bill, and the Junior-Senior Banquet, the big affair of the year. lt has been a busy year for the juniors, and they have done well by their class and their school. We know that they will profit from their experiences and be ready for a grand senior year.
