J.V. CROSS COUNTRY
Under the coaching of Mr. Paul Phinney, this year's J.V. Cross Country posted
a good record of eight wins and two losses. This year's team placed fifth out of
fourteen teams in the UCONN Invitational Cross Country meet. One J.V. "Harrier",
Fred Krawiec finished eighth out of one hundred and six finishers. Another im-
pressive victory obtained by our team was in the CCIL Field Day in which Man-
chester placed first out of the nine competing teams. Another runner for the team,
Lawrence Duhaime, set a J.V. record by running the home course in 16:14.
J.V. BASEBALL
The Junior Varsity baseball team, with the coaching of Mr. Harold Parks,
had a flawless season in 1960, winning all of their nine games. Their ideals
were to gain experience and to further good sportsmanship.
