VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY
Coached by Mr. Robert Sines, the Varsity Cross
Country team posted a brilliant record for the
1960 season with thirteen wins, and one loss.
Under Co-Captains Kenneth Smith and John
Golden, the team placed first out of eighteen
teams in the UCONN sectionals and in the state
wide meet Manchester placed fifth out of all the
other competing towns and cities. Another spark-
ling record was achieved by the team by placing
first in the C.C.l.L. Field Day race. Kenneth Smith,
the top team winner, set a new home course of
14:30.
