Instruction is the focal point of the educational program, and the teacher holds an important position in the school. Administrative services are provided for the purpose of facilitating the instructional program and supporting the teacher in his instructional role. Student personnel services are facilitative and are designed to help each student obtain the maximum benefit from all other services. While S.P.S. is one of three areas of any educational program, it also supplements the other two. In Manchester the student personnel services include: Health Services, Remedial Services, School Adjustment Services, Attendance, Special Education and Guidance Program. 8

TO THE CLASS OF 1966 LIFE is my college. May I graduate well, and earn some honors! Louisa May Alcott Commencement is by definition the beginning. Your class has an outstanding start in life for you have already achieved notably in relation to the individual goals and aspi- rations that make up the class of 1966. Knowledge is not power in itself but when used by an individual to function more ef- fectively it contributes to his own power to accomplish. We grow when we face life. I commend your class for its knowledge, power, and proud record of achievement. Your future can only grow as you grasp the realities of your commencement. Foster H .
