flif i MC Campus Welcomes Cor diet At last, no more cramped knees, banging water pipes or poor lighting! Finally, an end to peeling paint and unpadded seats! Cordier Auditorium has arrived. In services held on September 23, 1978, the Cordier Auditorium was formally dedicated. Long awaited by the college community, the auditor- ium features continental seating, spac- ious meeting areas, a large semi-thrust stage with a hydroUcally controlled orchestra pit, a fully electric ligliting system, and ample areas for building and storing scenery, costumes, and props. Speaking at dedication ceremonies were the Hon. Andrew Young, ambas- sador to the United Nations, and Dr. Howard Sottenberger, former direc- tor of the Foreign Service. Both men were former students of Dr. Andrew W. Cordier, a Manchester professor, diplomat, statesman, facilitator, and peacemaker.
