The squads performed at home basketball games to the tune of “Pop Music” and “Upside Down”. They also attended a one day clinic at Groveton High School to improve their techniques. No club would be complete without the help of a sponsor. The squads’ sponsor was Mrs. Huffman. She spent many hours of her time to help the girls. 116 Sports

The MPHS majorettes, Tammy Kilgore and Cathy Maitland, partici¬ pated in football pre-game and half-time shows and in a girls’ basketball tour¬ nament at MPHS. During boys’ basketball season, they performed during half-time at all home games. They also enter¬ tained at junior high school girls’ basketball games and marched in the 1980 Manassas Christmas Parade. Under the direction of their sponsor, Kathy Pearson, the majorettes practiced diligently dur¬ ing their free time.
