This innovation proved so successful and popular that its activities increased this year. The club meets after school once a week. The members have enjoyed many parties, swims, French games, French songs, and have practiced French conversation. A French environment has been created through exhibits, and a good foundation has been laid to make advanced French a pleasure. Through the Junior French Club, the members have acquired a broadened culture and a knowledge of French customs. They have enjoyed learning something of lasting use, and have developed a firm interest in the French language and its songs, games, books, and other forms of culture. VVe feel that lVIanasquan High School is fortunate in having the opportunity to begin the study of French so early, and under the guidance of a qualified and experienced French teacher. The purpose ot this club is to teach beginners how to knit. The club meets on the second and fourth llonday of each month during the activities period. llfleetings are mostly informal and after a brief business meeting the members continue to Work on their Scotty hats, skirts, scarves, bags or sweaters as the case may be. This year the membership of the club was limited to thirty-live girls, and since all members are beginners, this policy will probably be continued. All members have taken active interest in the work and the club plans to extend its activities during the coming year. NELL1 E Aocoeic Sczwzty-fum'
