The Class of '38, under the supervision of Mrs. Grace Taylor, lVIiss Edith Brown,
lVIr. Earl Strong, and Mr. Wilbur Landis, has taken a prominent part in all school
activities.
The junior social events have all been great successes. Doris Boos was social
chairman. VVe started the year with a dance, then the parents gave us a card party.
Later in the year the Juniors presented a variety show. Miss Brown coached the Jr.
Play, "lVIeet the Duchess," presented April 9. Our last and grandest affair was the
Junior Prom in May.
lVIany of our students showed their scholastic ability by being on the first honor
roll. Among them are: Carol Bowman, George Johnson, Ruth Wallace, Holger
Nystom, and Mary Schneider.
Members of our class were prominent in the Student Council, hall patrol, school
paper, glee clubs, and other organizations.
The following were outstanding athletes: Lillian Queen, lVIarion Osborn, Beatrice
Stokes, Estelle Calkins, Nora Cassidy, Sally Chapin, Vernon King, Roy Henville,
Walter Anderson, Melvin Moore, Charles Walter, and Alfred Wood.
This Class of 1938 shows the kind of spirit that will develop into a capable
senior class.
