We suppose, Nedlam, that you've been wondering how all our enthusiasm and friendliness tor you came about. Well, it all started back in September when the sophomore, iunior, and senior classes decided that it was about time M.H.S. had a mascot. So we joined forces with the three classes and sponsored a schoolwide suggestion contest. During one fateful S period the leaders of these four groups met to discuss those submitted. One contestant sub- mitted the entry of Goldie the Lion, but interest in the mascot waned and finally the whole matter was dropped. The Maldonian staff, still eager for a mascot, did some research into your background and discovered that you have always been a part of our heritage. So, as you have requested, we have allowed you to be with us as a student. We have shown you a small part of our daily life, and now, Nedlam, come with us to see how we progress through our school year. We hope you still want to be with us as we continue our march through M.H.S. IHSF: tw HOW ABOUT GOLDIE? inquires Mrs, Carney as she discusses the name of our future school mascot with Mr. Oxman, Mr. Melanson, and Mr. Fraser, the advisers to the sophomore, senior, and iunior classes respectively. 20 Through our classes, clubs athletics, You ve Seen Flil'lTl 3! lid!!!
