Our English Department is headed by Dr. -I. Russell Bowman, whose interest- ing class discussions will long be I'L'IIlfc'lll- bered by his pupils after they pass through the open doors to learning. The department includes such interesting personalities as Miss Deborah Young and Miss Mary Heald who head the Blue and Gold and the Mal- donian respectively: f'am's well-known ad- viser, Miss Aldine Gilman: Miss Dorothy- lfelle Thorpe, our efficient librarian: Miss Madge Leslie, adviser of Greenrooni, and Mr. Everett Schneider, one of the eo- advisers of Hi-Y: Miss Marguerite Ain- lnann, head of the Debate Council: and Miss llary Tribble, a Junior adviser. Also included in the department arc Bliss Vivian Kistler, Miss Alice Peaslee, Bliss Adeline Wetmore, Bliss llary Kirby, and Miss Laura Pearl.
