'The Sound Of Music' Just a week prior to the opening of the musical, The Sound of Music, vandals gained entrance to the auditorium and de stroyed the shows's accesible sets. However, the show opened on March 19, 1981, as scheduled. Technical director, Mr. Rob ert Norris, explained, The cooperative nature of the Maine West Student body was illustrated under the adverse conditions created by the vandalism. The Sound of Music is the true story of a nun, Maria Rainer, who falls in love with Captain von Trapp of the Royal Austrian Navy. Billy, Pat Named Wesf's Favorite Rock Stars The Legend staff sent surveys to over fif- teen hundred students. The survey was giv- en to find out the students' preferences in the entertainment field.
