Sports + Books + Experiments + Logic 'rowth Everyone, somewhere inside of them, has a special talent. The expression of a talent is very important, and the continuous exercise of it prevents the skill from be- coming dormant. Because you usually like whatever you do best, you will enjoy the clubs at Madonna that evolve around your specialty . Novels, poetry and short stories can produce many plea- sant hours of listening tothe messages and meanings that other people have to offer. If you have discovered this fact yourself, you can broaden your scope and share what you've learned through Library Club. Maybe class alone does not fulfill your desire for knowl- edge in Science and Math. Guest speakers and field trips are just two of the many ways to increase your understand- ing of Science in Science Club. To make math more than just a bunch of numbers , Math 12 students watch each other grow by giving talks themselves on a phase of math they have researched and studied at Math Club. But if athletics is your basket , you can limber up through G.A.A. The Girls Athletic Association provides competition in volleyball, basketball and bowling. It is a perfect way to develop basics in team work and good sportsmanship. Pick and interest, Madonna is sure to have something to meet it! Are those aquanauts in the aquarium? Seated: Mary llelvlarco. 41 Open Doors For Yourself IL FHA And Business Club The apple pie may not taste like mother's but practice makes perfect as girls learn in F.ll.A. The Fixture Homemakers of America is a club whose purpose it is to help in pre- paring girls to be efficient, capable home- makers. Among their activities is an annual fashion show which exhibits student crea- tions. Learning new methods of family needs, the girls grow in knowledge of practices essential to a good homemaker. Guest speakers from Business schoolsg tours of Data-Processing centers and comptometer schools are included in the many activities of Madonna's Business Club. This year the girls also presented a Christmas program and gave presents to the 200 students at the Contalician Center of Learning in Buffalo, The business club, by introducing the various worlds of business to its members, is kept up to date with the constant changes in this field. Our educational facilities must keep up with this change, and Madonnas career clubs help reach this goal.
