m □DO LBS. A little bit more... When August 16 rolled around Madison High School strangely waited in silence as the final minutes of the last weekend of summer ticked away. The next day the school exploded with energy as nearly 700 students poured through the doors. Because of computer problems, students re-regis- tered for classes long forgotten under the hot sum- mer sun. With the first day of school problems behind, students settled down as the trimester began to unfold before them. Homework, lectures, papers, and tests became everyday words but were often forgotten amidst the blur of extra-curricular events. Homecoming activities came and went with an exciting climax as the football team blanked the Pocatello Indians, 23-0. An unusually warm potato harvest set in and they found the two week vacation ending with the potato crops stored away safe from the oncoming blistering winter. With fall over and the excitement of the fall sports season gone, students buckled down and took their trimester finals.

Tennis, golf, track, and baseball all took place but with less enthusiasm then earlier in the year. Seniors became edgy as graduation loomed closer. School began to wind down as finals were taken, and books handed in. Seniors were checked out and school seemed almost empty to those underclassmen still attending. Graduation was over and school was out and looking back they realized that it was everything they expected and ... a little bit more. 4 Opening
