Madlsonlan 38 2.3-Junior Class Mountaineer Party An eyening crammed full of fun by cracky 26 Variety Hit of 1938 28 School closed because of the weather 29 Back IH school and Madlson went to Union to bring home a ylctory of 33 16 FEBRUARY Small pox broke out 1n school Every one either had to be xacclnated oi be quarantined A great many sore arms resulted Remembero 3 An impersonater entertained the school 4 Madison was scheduled to play Butler but because of the small pox epi demic we were unable 06 etc Great many absent with small pox Some very serlous 19 R1chland County Tournament op ened at Mansfield Senior High School M disons first game was with Ontario but was defeated 21 Mr Miller came back after his illness with the smallpox for our pep meetlng Remember the Mustache'7 22 A hol1day for all of us students because of Washington s Birthday Lucas came to Madison to make up a game scheduled during our quarantine Lucas won with the score being 36 30 25-Madison did swell in the tourn ament so far Now for thc finals 26 Ontario was defeated by Butler maklng them the Champions of the Richland County Tournament Madison was certainly cl1ck1ng too because we defeated Wellei and thus recelxed the Consolatlon Cup Good work boys This ends basketball season fo1 the school year 1937 38 MARCH 4 Freshman Sea Party This was one of the biggest ey ents of the season and the Freshmen need to be congratu lated for such a fine party 7 Shorthand II glrls gave speeches on manners and conduct Hope every one learned something from it 8 The seniors had to wade the1r way through an Intelligence Test glven by Ohio State University Now we will find out just how much the Seniors know 9 Everyone trled to look thelr best because pictures of the Classes and or ganxzations were taken for the annual Look for them 14 The Senior Class play parts were iyen out D1s is sho gonna be a mlty fine play 18 A play Down 1n Maine put on by the Boosters club 1 April Fools day with a lot of stu dents and teachers being caught Sopho more Party in the evening A fine t1me was had by all 8 High School Operetta The P1r ates Daughter 14 15 Easter vacation and everyone getting ready to look their best at Easter 29 The G1rl Reserve Mother and Daughter Banquet MAY 3 The Senior Class Play Well Met by Moonlight Hope you all llked It 10 Open House 13 The banquet where you eat what you dont like 22 Bacculaurate Servlces 26 The sad day for the SGDIOTS Com mencement held 1n the High School Aud1tor1um at 8 00 P M 27 Its all over now Page seventeen .- . - Y , ' r - .
