MMM? It is the year 1972. I had just finished delivering a series of lectures on the Psy- chological Causes of Idiosyncrasy and Traumatic Neurosis of Living in Space, at the forward outpost on the moon. Suddenly I remembered that the '62 graduating class of Madison Academy was having its tenth reunion. As I hurried aboard the X-15 Nova Spaceship for the return trip, I happened to meet Winford Penna, who had just com- pleted an engineering feat of transporting green cheese to earth. As we reached the space terminal on earth, who should we meet but the prima donna of the opera world, Betty Lindsey. Betty has successfully combined a singing career with being dietitian for the food concern of Sloppy Joe 's Space Delicatessen. As we boarded the jet train for Huntsville, we were joined by several other grads. Among those were Charlotte Hardeman, the personal nurse of Dr. Ben Caseyg -Jackie Sanders, who is now living in New Yorkg and Bettie Singleton, the private secretary of Dr. Phil Sumrall, who has replaced Dr. Werner von Braun. Also on the train, were Mary Ann Fisher, Judy McBride, and Sandra Hamilton, but we did not get to talk with them very much because they were busy chasing down all their children. When we arrived in Huntsville, we were greeted at the station by Linda Lowe, secretary for the reunion, and Gayle Ashworth, who had just won the title of Miss Space Age. On our way to school, we passed the beauty shop of Cheryl Russell and Carole Haven. I understand they specialize in aerodynamic permanents. The first one to greet us at the school was Dianne Crane, who had graciously left her household chores to be promotional director for the reunion. Also scurrying about was Charlotte Albright, the editor of Circus Universe, a magazine about the Sara- sota Spaceketeers, a circus which is managed by her husband. The last one to arrive was Tim Williams. He had just signed a contract to take over the Jack Paar show as comedian. As I left for my next lecture, Irealized that the reunion had been a wonderful occasion. Ralph E. Samples, Ph.D. CLASS SPONSOR
