TES PURRIE SAINI Ware Cu One Fair Maid Down by the rumbling waterfall ] crept one day, To pass away the lonely hours On grass in May. I thought of many bygone days, Of those | knew; “Twas not a num’rous company, But just a few. I often think me of those few, And one fair maid, Whom I will try depict in words, If none upbraid. As lovely as a picture she, So blithe and fair, And as I look into the spray, Ipseesherstheres She had such wavy nut-brown hair, And eyes of blue, And cheeks by gentle Nature tinged Of scarlet hue.
