His walth is checked — each second error can cairse a tpiarter- miie error in the ship ' s position, ami that can ' t be tolerated — the sextant is ?eroed, the forms are readi ed. By now the sky is glinnnering with the first touch of day, and he goes to work. In a matter ol miniues he returns to pore over long lohunns of figures. Finally the computing is finished, the calculated position is plotted, and once again the Macon is triangled on the chart. recommend you come right to south ' Macon ' s ace helmsman.
