The ship with a well-fed crew has taken a long stride along the road to a happy ship, and the prepara- tion and cooking aboard the MACON is contin- ually checked. Scrupulous cleanliness along the food route is insisted upon and only the best is good enough. With a knowledge as to which foods are available, our S-2 Division prepares its menus well in advance to provide variety to a a well-balanced diet.
