Majorettes Perform ith Perfection Always a highlight of each football season the majorettes are an asset to the Band. After many practices, trying moments and much tension and ex- citement the majorettes performed with perfection during the '74-'75 football season. lane Rainer and Dawn Sharpe were the head majorettes for this marching season. Under their incisive lead- ership, the majorettes cooperated to- gether and produced exciting half- time performances. The other squad members were Debbie Dykes, Kathi Thomas, Kathy Smith, and Daria Sharpe. The majorettes spent one week at clinic in Tallassee. After many hours in the hot sun and many moments of frustrations, the majorettes returned home with new skills and routines 88 With graceful ease Dawn Sharpe, co-head, exe- cutes a complex step. junior, Kathy Smith, carefully but expertly twirls to Smoke on The Water With a glowing smile, co-head majorette, lane Rainer swings into beat with her baton. Cheering with exuberance, the Senior major- ettes urge the Knights to victory. With a final kick, Kathy Thomas ends a beau- tiful routine.

Peggy Griswold smiles prettily as she performs the Flag's routine. Sharon Moore, jinnie Webster, and Peggy Gris- wold expertly practice in unison as the Flag Squad. Keeping beat with the Band, Sharon laughs dur- ing her excellent performance. linnie gracefully executes one of her many diffi- cult steps. Minimized Flags Produce New Routines In their second year of existence the Flags added additional entertainment to the Band. linnie Webster, head, Sharon Moore, and Peggy Griswold worked in harmony to perform ex- acting and difficult routines. After their return from clinic, the Flags prac- ticed arduously learning how to handle their new small flags. These smaller flags enabled the Flags to place more intricate steps in their routines.
