Aspiring Actors Product of Drama Club A relatively new organization at MA is the Drama Club. Formed to bring en- tertainment to the campus, as well as encouragement to young aspiring ac- tors, the Drama Club provides a wide variety of learnings. Scenery to make, lighting to install, costumes to sew, and actors to train are merely a few of the numerous tasks necessary to pro- duce a successful play. The Glee Club taught by Mr. Edwards, the head of the Music Department, is a class designed to develop music ap- preciation. Each student practices voice control and group singing. N W U IFORMS DREAM COME TRUE Frustration, fatigue, weary bones, and lassitude are merely words describing the MA Academy Band Students after a long, hard practice session. These many strenuous practices brought forth considerable rewards including performing for state playoffs at Springwood, ten best band members performing in the Honor Band, and of course their magnificient appearances on the field at halftime. As the year began band members be- came overvvrought with the idea of new uniforms wherefore in Novem- ber those long awaited dreams be- came a reality. At the conclusion of a prominent sea- son, we say Thank You, Band, for a unique and enjoyable year. 1st, jinnie Webster, Debbie Dykes, Dawn Sharpe, jane Rainer, Sharon Moore. 2nd, Leah Segrest, Guy Whatley, j.H.
