Students have Voice at MA By sponsoring a variety of activities throughout the year, the Student Council has spurred the interest and aroused the involvement of the Stu- dent in the governmental affairs of MA to a large degree. Under the able counseling of Mrs. Hilda Simpson, sponsor, and jane Rainer, President, the club has set its main goal to en- courage the individual of MA to have a voice in the way in which their MA School is governed. Members of the Council consist of 2 elected members of each class, each class president, and the heads of several other organi- zations. Those affairs sponsored by the Student Council include Home- coming Week, Twirp Week, Calendar Girl, Easter Seal Drive, and Religious Emphasis Week. 76 During a brief meeting at lunch, the Council discusses last minute preparations for Religious Emphasis Week.
