Tom Matheny, Tom l. IR. High Wins MA Tourney Under the leadership of a new coach, Bobby joe Vann, a graduate of Ma- con Academy and a member of the 1972-73 State Championship Team, . MA's lr. High team streaked to a record of 13-5. Three of these victo- ries came in the MA jr. High Tourna- ment. Barry Thrower and Billy Kitch- ens were named to the All- Tournament Team while Donnie Vann was named the Most Valuable Player. After a loss to Glenwood on the first game after the Christmas holidays, the lr. Knights speeded to a six-game win- ning streak before losing to Spring- wood. The jr. Knights pulled a victory over Lee before losing to the Generals in the District at Springwood.
