Knights Start On Right Foot On November 25, 1974, the Macon Academy Knights basketball team traveled to Lee Academy in Auburn for their first game of the season. The members of the team had but one thing in mindg last year's 36-86 loss to Lee in the first game of the 1973-74 season. But this was not to happen again as the Knights proved by beat- ing the Generals 67-59. That same week on Saturday night, the Knights were defeated by Bullock. But the Knights came right back to whip Springwood 61-57 before losing to Chambers and Scott.

Knights Take Third Place On December 12, 1974, Macon Acad- emy got revenge on Bullock by de- feating them in the second round of the Scott Tournament. joey Smith was the Knights leading scorer in this game with 16 points, followed by Da- vid Vann with 14 and Robert Ruther- ford with 12. The next night the Knights were defeated by Scott but came back to take third place in the Tournament by whipping Lee 67-60. David Vann had 26 points for the Knights followed by Al Vann with 15. Senior superstar David Vann uses his strength and agility to out manuver an opposing player as he takes a shot.
