Knights Start On Right Foot On November 25, 1974, the Macon Academy Knights basketball team traveled to Lee Academy in Auburn for their first game of the season. The members of the team had but one thing in mindg last year's 36-86 loss to Lee in the first game of the 1973-74 season. But this was not to happen again as the Knights proved by beat- ing the Generals 67-59. That same week on Saturday night, the Knights were defeated by Bullock. But the Knights came right back to whip Springwood 61-57 before losing to Chambers and Scott.

With the quality coaching of Mr. Rentz, Mr. Wright, and Mr. Raney, the boys were taught the fundamentals of football and used their talents in games and scrimmages during the season. Achieving the knowledge of football and good sportsmanship gave these boys hopes of becoming future stars of Macon Academy. Termites enjoy a scrimmage themselves. Coach Wilson goes over a new play in the huddle. Behind a wall of blockers, this player has his sights set on a touchdown. After a hard lick, Brandon johnson has prob- lems keeping his pants up. 51
