Rednecks Rule Twirp Week During the last week of january, the Student Council sponsored Twirp Week. Redneck Day was held on Wednesday with an enthusiastic re- sponse from the entire student body. Slave auction was surprisingly held the same day making over 200 dollars for the sales of all the Senior cheer- leaders, football, and basketball play- ers. Kangaroo Court with the return of the Honorable Les Hayes was held Thursday. The country DA, Penny Streetman, could not match the au- thority of the city-slicker PA, Leslie Cohn. The distinguished jury found all the criminals guilty with the exception of Coach Wilson. With tiring practice and much coop- eration the annual basketball game, faculty vs students, was held Friday. With the extra ability of Mr. Rentz and the dubious actions of the score- keeper, the teachers were victorious over the students, 16-12. linnie looks on . . . and on. . .and on ...1udge, Les Hayes, looks on as Mrs. West creams her runaway slave. The Winners of Red Neck day were Bill Taylor, Tom Matheny, and Penny Streetman. At a typical Kangaroo Court Session, the jury takes a recess while the DA plans his next defense. 4
