At Homecoming pep rally, Buddy qBrilloj Youngblood, a Senior, speaks encouraging words about the Knights' game with Scott. Melissa Singleton, her partner, and other MA students rock n' roll to the music of Moccasin Flatt. The band plays a lively tune during home- coming pep rally raising the spirit even higher. Cheering enthusiastically for the MA Knights at pep rally, the lower school's spirited classes clamour for a homecoming victory. After a triumphant Senior win of the basketball relay, Gregg Self enjoys the spoils of victory-a lollipop. Having won first place in the Room Decorating contest, the juniors smile proudly as they show off one of their imaginative decorations. Ronald Winkler's dogged but nosy approach to this potato in the relay races won the Seniors another first place prize.

Homecoming '74 Massacred Scott With immense enthusiasm and willing minds, the student body worked in unison' to produce a most effective and spirited homecoming week. The Student Council combined ideas and hard-working effort in order to effec- tuate an ideal atmosphere for Home- coming 1974. In the Room Decorating Contest, all the doors were brightly papered and appropriately lettered. Red, white, and blue were coordinated in all as- sortments of clothing on Wednesday as each MA student exhibited his Knight Pride on School Colors Day. Which class has the most spirit? The relay races on Thursday were held to decide this issue. Winning four out of the five races, the Seniors were de- clared the victors and decidedly the most school spirited. During the entire week, certain stu- dents engrossed themselves in prac- tice of all sorts. Cheering, twirling, and marching were all done in preparation of an exciting game. The football players scrimmaged while the home- coming court practiced for the presentation. On Friday each student realized all the frustrations and laborious work had been well worth the effort. Cli- maxing the pep rally was the captivat- ing moment when Meg Graham was declared Miss Homecoming 1974. Af- ter a thorough massacre of the Scott Patriots, MA students relaxed and danced to the ultrasonic sounds of Moccasin Flatt. '24
