These pupils also tied lor recognition in their trades through local. Stale. national. and international competitions, ICT students who performed well enough to contend for the international title traveled to Austria to demonstrate their attained skills. ork

1 N Homemakers Projects Include Providing Daycare For Local eedy Children Not just cooking and sewing, FHA fFuture Homemakers of Americaj taught students about home and community improvement. FHA members hoped to contribute to their own community by providing needed servicesfto the people of that area. By making napkin holders and gifts, they cheered up the elderly in nursing homes. ln addition, the group provided presents and daycare for the needy children of Irving in nursery schools. members took-the opportunity to speak competitively over the various homemaking subjects such as cooking and cleaning. These students metgg people in different chapters from all over the United States. Receiving the chance to experience the activities ofi other chapters, they shared recipes' and held councils with each other. FHA elected the following officers: Executive President Stevette Cargill, Vice President Becky Watkins, Secretary Wendy Braumbaugh. and ln the spring, FHA traveled to Tyler and Dallas for its Regional and National Meeting respectively The Treasurer Shelly McClendon.
