the l966 Crest to Mr. . We Proudly Dedicate MR. W. T. HANES Mr. Hanes spends as much time as possible with his grandchildren, Travis and Vickie Hanes. They are pictured here at Disneyland while on summer vacation. T. Hanes Mr. W. T. Hanes, who has been sup- erintendent of the Irving public schools since July, 1956, centers his life around the education of today's youth. Throughout his career, Mr. Hanes has served on various committees concerned with the educational field. He has been a member of several state committees on education and was a participant of the White House Conference on Education in 1956. For his outstanding work inhis profes- sion, Mr. Hanes received the American Educator's Medal awarded by the Free- dom Foundation at Valley Forge in May of 1963. It is only appropriate that the 1966 CREST should be dedicated to a man who has inspired many in the field of educa- tion and who is so devoted to the impor- tant work of teaching theAmerican youth.
