Girls who apply for office work during their study halls are chosen on the basis of their school record, class schedule, and personal capabilities. They record the daily attendance, operate the switchboard, and perform errands for the faculty and staff. Science Club Scion, a Latin word meaning I know , is the official name of the Science Club Organiza- tion. It is composed of students enthusiastic for the advancement of scientific knowledge in a secondary school. Projects are chosen for the duration of the school term by each member, and periodic meetings, under the supervision of L. They are responsible for supplying programs and receiving the collection. Torch Club Freshmen who have obtained the essential grade point average are eligible for admission in Torch Club the following year. Mem- bers must maintain grades of B+ or better for a spec- ified number of subjects. If requirements are not met, membership is terminated. This year, Torch Club mem- bers have begun a project of displaying paperback books for sale to the students.
