MRS. CHRISTINE K. WELLS Dean of Students DEANS Joi-iN IVI. TURNER, JR. Dean of the College Dean Turner came to Lynchburg College as an English Instructor in I933. In l952 he succeeded Dr. Fred Helsabeck as Dean of the College. He received his B.A. cum laude from Lynchburg College in 1929 and his PILD. from Harvard in I955. lVl1s. Wells, a native of Wichita, Kansas, joined the college faculty as associate pro- fessor of education in l947. She became Dean of Students in l950. I-ler under- graduate work was done at Friends Uni- versity and her lVl.A. was received from the Colorado Stale College of Education. She has also done graduate work at Syracuse University.
