6410 lt was just like last year, like I was a junior again, discovered one LHS sen- ior at the Homecoming dance, which festively capped off the wildness of spirit week. Indeed, many alumni could not resist returning to their alma mater for the annual event. It seemed as if everyone was there! Another concept, new to the Home- coming dance was a double- bill dance. Two bands, Code Red la group consist- ing of LHS studentsl and Justin 's Crib, helped rocket the dance into our fon- dest high school memories as nearly 1000 Vikes hopped, rocked, shook, swayed, bounced, and ricocheted to the musical electricity of Homecoming. Eventually, the magic began to come to an end. Hi's, bye's, addresses, and phone numbers were furiously swapped as the Vikings savored the night. Then, literally, came the last dance, Homecoming 1985-86 drew to a very emotional close. 26 Homecoming Dance 1-Student body cheers on the queen. 2-Scott Morehou 3-Laura Brostel, Alicia F rair, and friend, take se enjoyes the Homecoming Dance, time out between dances to give the photo rapher a look.

0001! C'0MlN6 MAWIE Rlllff R ll? As the Homecoming Rally was kicked off, our spirits were at an all-time high and bound to escalate even higher. We all cheered on the eight home- coming princesses and their escorts as they played their games of wheelbar- row and piggyback. Who could forget how junior Adrienne Tovar and her ac- complice, Todd McNair, were lgasplj cheating? At the end, Caroline Kelly, Sophomore princess, and her escort, Don Mclntosh, rode through it all to the finish line emerging as the winners. Each class yelled to their heart's content in hopes of capturing the cov- eted Most Spirited Class banner. When the moment came to announce the winner of the rally, we all waited intensely. The victors: The class of '87! The Juniors had put on the best show and took the banner away triumphantly claiming their piece of twenty-one years of Viking history! 1 ..,..-av 28 Rally 1.
