The individualizing of instruction has given each student a chance to work at his own pace and to study in the areas which he feels he is most deficient. The new research cen- ter enables a student to leave the classroom and listen to taped material without dis- turbance. Objectives, clearly stated in each unit, make known to the students exactly what is expected of them. Independent study, combined with the new Social Studies program, requires the student to meet the basic objectives of the course. At the same time, it affords him the op- portunity to investigate those social and political issues of interest to him. A fully individualized curriculum has been implimented in General Science for the first time this year. Biology, Physiology, Oceanography and Physics provide opportunities for students to choose what they wish to study in depth. It has been a year of change and realignment of priorities.
