Sf lAeclX.qice Qiasn 'ow Year? 001: x CLASS HISTORY When our sturdy Class of '51 started out to colonize the new territory of Lynbrook High four short years ago, we had no idea that we would develop into the great class we have since come to be. We got off to a good start that first hard year by electing Dick Beach as president, Bill Terry as vice-president, Sue Morris as secretary, and janet Snyder as treasurer. We showed great class spirit that year and using the theme of Pirates, almost topped the Sophomores, our nearest rivals. After our first year of settlement in L.H.S., we came back full of enthusiasm to build up our budding organization. All of our officers were re-elected and helped us to continue our progress. At Class Nite we had the theme of the state of New Mexico. As Juniors, we began to show definite signs that we were a well-functioning class. Ed Zimmerli was elected president, Leslie Pearsall was the new vice-president, Sue Morris and Janet Snyder continued as secretary and treasurer, respectively. We honored our Parisian friends with our gala junior Prom. The actors of our class put on a thrilling mystery. The Clutching Claw, which was very successful. We fought valiantly at Class Nite that year using Snow White as our theme and took second place. In our fourth and last year we really went to town. Again, we re-elected all of our officers. Our thespians gave the premiere of the comedy, Our Miss Brooks , and proved acting ability was another of the prevalent talents we possessed. At Class Nite we again showed the cooperative spirit we had by putting up a superb battle. The social life of our school career was climaxed by our great Senior Prom. When we sadly left the institution we had so boldly pioneered and conquered, we knew that we were leaving behind us the most important four years of our lives. 'I4
