 The 1985 Children’s Theater put on the production of the Wizard of Oz. The Wizard of Oz is a classic play full of laughter and depression. If you don’t know how actors prepare for a play here is a short explanation. There are long hours of memo- rizing lines and endless days of practice. There’s also the back stage help like costume director who finds appropriate costumes for the part, and make up and lighting. Let’s not forget the di- rector who makes it all happen. 26
