Busdrivers: Take The Long Way Home So you often hear yourself grum- bling when the bus is late; maybe ready to have a break-down when it is early? If you can answer yes to both of the above, maybe you should stop and think! Do we realize the importance of these people who transport us from home to school and back, bring us to all our extra-curricular activities and events, and have the patience to put up with us if we are loud, late, or generally troublesome. Maybe some time you will get on the bus and have a cheerful Hello! instead of a grumpy, I don't know why I should have to ride this stupid bus anyway. Old Faithful Picking up paper, work never done. Being a bus driver Ain't all that fun! They're up by six. And they finish at five. It really baffles me. How they stay alive. Shouting at kids. But having no choice. How in the world Do they keep their voice? For all that you've done. And all that you'll do. Although we don't say it. We mean it: thank you! 23
