It can take 10 hours to put together a 5 Julie Johnson The Lutheran South pom-pom squad, known as the Lancer- ettes, is another group that works to improve the enthusiasm of the students towards sports. They perform at many of the school's special events. The girls find themselves frequently learning new routines and spend many hours practicing after school. The Lancerettes took third place in the speed-learning category at a pom-pom clinic Lindbergh held earlier this year.
