'BN 7 boys, and girls' state varsity cheerleaders the varsity leaders are from the left: kneeling: sandy carricc, dick wiegmann, goyce wollmer. standing: anita schlaeger, gayle stelter. with its ninety-four healthy vocal chords, the pep club hardly needs an introduction. being guided by miss frankenstein and led by the cheerleaders, these students have made school spirit ring through lhs's halls, echo on the football fields, and spur the basketball teams on to victory. the club was born in l955 and has really existed in name only until this year, when a new enthusiastic support for lutheran high broke out among its members. meeting every wednesday during activities period has been very rewarding for the hard-working cheerleaders and entire pep club with all its enthusiasm. c d regner Knot picturedl. both boys' state and girls state are state-wide functions sponsored by the american legion. each year one girl and four boys are chosen on the basis of scholarship and leadership out of the junior class, to represent lutheran high. each summer, for one week a model government is organized and operated-separately by outstanding boys and girls of various schools in california. they elect their own officers for the efficiency of the government this all takes place in sacramento this year's representatives were from the lefty elaine Vogel, larry bielenberg warren strasheim, dave mende leroy
