itz!-iiiiiilln stamp club the stamps for missions was a drive that was successfully completed by the stamp club. the purpose of this undertaking was to gather used stamps and send them to con- cordia publishing house for processing. we received money for the amount of stamps, which was then used for missions carried on by the church. their membership consists of all boys with mr, brommer as sponsor. the club is a worthwhile, as well as interest- ing group, meeting every friday at noon. since collecting stamps is a well-known hob- by, the stamp club is a very popular club here on campus. chess club having no other aim but to play for the love ot the game, the chess club is one of the most active of all our clubs. they meet everyday over lunch, during wednesday activities period, and often after school. like their spon- sor, mr. vorderstrasse, each member must have the patience, quietness, and the ability to out-wit the opposite player. if a member has climbed the chess ladder by winning over other club members 3 and reaches the top, he is declared chess champion, and has his name inscribed on a trophy. with such a great incentive each day proves eventful, for the competition is indeed keen. members are :rm .eftz ,st row, mr. :.rxmrner, frank zestor, lyle hecher, i'n anderson, mark ireflericks. 2nd row: art geisert, iam bell, john robertszn, ted Schroeder, gary mathzeu ron schassburger, members are from Qett: seated, dave mittenzwei, lzren nxnscri, warren strasheim, mr. vorder- strasse, larry hielenierg, frank hestir, ichn rchertszn gfhn weehe, gay tcylir. standing, gerry mehr, tom leggat, tcm humphrey, bob sible, hob schmzdt, ron Qcckmann, tom 'ie gznia, pihri lcniep, ray loesch, i, d. trenda, art geisert, gary trends, robert petty.
