"Oh may the lesson ot Thy Word to us true blessings now afford."
ln the daily chapel services the students ot Lutheran High School have
been taught the Holy Word of God. This teaching is carried into the
classroom where the students are brought closer to the importance of
living a Christian lite by the continued efforts ot our instructors. What
greater blessings could God give His teenagers than a faculty and ad-
ministration vvho work so tirelessly to lfeep them in the faith. May the
prayer of every student be that God continue to "bless us all at Luth-
eran High,"

ball teams in the state. This year Coach Lou Schroer
was building for the future, featuring sophomores and
many juniors on the team. Gary Zellinger, Jerry Ptabe,
Pete Peck, Ted Schuessler, and Gary Schoen composed
the seniors on the squad, The performances of some
of the younger players predict great seasons coming.
The B-team, coached by Gerald Visser, hurt by the
loss of three sophomores to the varsity, stumbled
through a hard season, losing many games, The fresh-
men, directed by David Rohde, improved steadily as
they gained experience.

Baseball was another sport this year
in which building for the future was the
main object. Going along with this idea
and trying to accommodate the large
group of boys out, three teams were or-
ganized. A freshman team led by Mr.
Robert Wendt, a iunior varsity squad,
coached by Mr. Wayne Vogelsmeier, and
finally the varsity headed by Mr. Gerald
Visser were organized Quite a large
crowd turned out for practice the first few
days including many underclassmen
There were only a few lettermen re

were both two year lettermen before the
season began both earning a varsity

inthe state tournament Frank Kuhlmann
