Math Department Introduces Full Year Calculus A full year calculus course, taught by Mr. Daniel Lynes and Mr. Raymond Yando, culminated a five year program designed to make available in high school a more intense study of calculus in the senior year. The department feels that this innovation will greatly benefit seniors in future college math. Other math courses offered range from Algebra and Geometry to more advanced courses such as Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Analytical Geometry. Social Studies Department Heads Toward “New Social Studies”’ The ‘New Social Studies” is a practice where classroom discussion emanates from the students and not the teacher. This format results in a more student orientated class in which the thoughts of the students are of primary importance. A Psychology-Sociology course was instituted this year and will be continued next year.
