Class Prophecy I quickly bought my ticket and entered the gate into the stadium when I hear a familiar voice shouting: Ladie's-s-s and gentlemen-n-n, it is almost time for the main event here at the rodeo this afternoon . Now I know where I heard that voice before-it was that of one of my fellow classmates, Bob Snyder. At seeing him again I remembered how. well this position suited him, because while we were still in school, he usually made all the announce- ments to crowds of people in order for them to hear. As I struggled to find a seat who should I bump into but Jim McGugin. I stopped to chat with him and I learned that he now owned a ranch in Texas and was doing very well raising mostly cattle. He entered two of his young steers into a contest which was to follow later on in the rodeo. My, what's going on in the main arena ? Why, it's two acrobatic clowns teasing a huge Brahma bull! Bob is announcing their names now-do tell, it's Tom Baughman and Ronnie Schrack QI might have knownfl As I opened my program what did I see but an advertisement of the book, How To Stand on Your Head and Spit Nickels by Bill Harvey. It seems that he has become a well known ma- gician in his field. It says here in small print that the picture was drawn by Marlene Finnell who is now a comimercial artist. Well, here's something interesting, there's to be a rope act by Naomi Crawford and Bob Goff right after the main event. Hm - m - m, I see she's still trying to get Mr. Right in some way or another. Say, that little fellow there with the ten gallon hat looks like someone I know. Why, of course it's Joe Fanello. I attracted his attention and after talking to him for a few minutes discovered that he just bought a dude ranch. The rodeo is over now and I have a long trip home so I'd better go back to my hotel and pick up my luggage before catching my train to Chicago. When I got to the hotel who should I see but millionaire Bob Switzer and his fiancee Kay Kohler. This is probably the nearest Kay will ever get to owning a bank of her own. I started to leave the hotel and suddenly noticed Bert Nichols. He was disguised as a cowboy and after talking to him, I found that he had been with the State Police of New York for three years and was on a case at the present time. I found a taxicab and when I got in it, who should turn around and ask me where I would like to go but Jean McCready. This fascinated me but Jean told me that she was just pinch-hitting for a friend of hers and that she was really only a housewife. Jean then took me to the train station and just as I was about to board the train I.heard someone call to me. I turned to see who it was and there stood Rose Little and Joetta Zody. I asked them if they were getting on the same train as I was and they said no but that they were going on to see their husbands who were stationed at the same Army camp. I wished them both lot's of luck and then got on the train. My next stop was at Chicago, Illinois. I had a two hour lay over before catching my plane so I went to a restaurant to eat lunch. Just as I sat down Mary Ruth Chamberlin came to take my order. She told me that Martha Kurtz owned the restaurant and was doing very well in her business. I told her to congratulate her for me and I was on my way.

I took a plane from here and just as I got seated comfortably, I noticed a stewardess coming through the plane. Irnmediately I recognized her as Lavata Williams. She certainly looked neat in her uniform. I glanced around they plane and saw that right across from me sat Maxine Finnell Barr and Bud Barr. They told me that they were just returning from their honeyrnoon out West. It was a matter of hours before Iwas home again. At the airport I met Janet Russell. She told me she was on her way to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she will teach Home Economics in a school there. It had been a long day and I was just about to start for Lucas when I heard the sound of a fire alarm at the main building. All of a sudden I realized someone was shaking me and it was mother telling me that the alarm clock was ringing and it was time to go to school. As I climbed out of bed, I realized that this had all been a dream and I wondered if someday the Class of '52 would ever fulfil my dream as they ventured out into the world. P at Thomps on
