Teachers' outside interests add to their classes. Sara Simpson, who plays piano and sings soprano, accompanied the melodrama. Kay Grave’s secretarial experience has dovetailed beautifully for her business-oriented classes. Many teachers attend school- related activities to cheer Cooper students. Randy Han- feld announces the home foot- ball games. Jay Brown helps with One-Act play. Although teaching is a demanding job, teachers are still able to do other than academic activities. ■.Stamm SfcbU to Sl {atfi STAMM (Systematic Teach- ing and Measuring Mathemat- ics) invaded the mathematics classes in 79-80. STAMM is an enrichment program based on worksheets, games, and multiple choice tests. Donna Todd thinks that STAMM is a good thing, and plans to use it much in later years. Donna Todd teaches Algebra II and Geometry with a steady pace with at least one assignment a day. She is pleased with her students which she says are excellent and exceptional. She also enjoys her first year in the new wing. Paulette Baumgardner also enjoyed STAMM and teaching Fundamentals and Algebra I. She used practicality in Funda- mentals such as balancing checkbooks. On the side, she played bingo with math and used numerous STAMM games to educate and provide a breather from the heady mate- rial of math. Karla Kitten strove to teach Introductory Algebra at a breathtaking pace. Math is a rapidly changing subject with a growing popularity and new teaching methods to accom- pany the growth.
